    Three-time Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong knows the importance of making health and fitness accessible to help people live healthier lives. Hear her tell the story behind PIVOT Lifestyle + Fitness by KA, how it fits into her mission to make our region one of the healthiest in the nation, and how the skills and perseverance of a competitive athlete transfer to the development of her business and partnership with commercial real estate developer, Tommy Ahlquist.
     
    Kristin will be joined by Dr. Tommy Ahlquist, CEO of Ball Ventures Ahlquist (BVA) and Wren Withers, Operations Manager, SelectHealth Idaho in a dynamic and interactive panel sharing their journey to create this innovative business partnership aimed at improving people's lives through better health.

    Wren Withers

    Operations Manager, SelectHealth

    Wren is the Operations Manager for the SelectHealth Idaho office. He has worked with SelectHealth for over 10 years and has experience in information systems, provider relations, contracting, and operations. His focus is to execute product features that will differentiate SelectHealth in our market and provide more value to SelectHealth members. He also manages continuous improvement efforts and operations that support the sales team. His free time is spent with his wife and three kids or out mountain biking and skiing.

    Kristin Armstrong

    Founder, PIVOT Lifestyle + Fitness by KA

    Kristin Armstrong is a three-time Olympic gold medalist, the most decorated US women’s cyclist, best time-trialist in sports history, two-time World Champion, and winner of six US National Championships. She knows that resetting direction intentionally — pivoting — is the way to realize dreams. Her successes were not without roadblocks. Chronic hip pain and a herniated disk in her back required surgeries throughout her Olympic career. Kristin also navigated a successful career in advertising, sports medicine, community health and raised her son all while achieving her dreams. She continues with her mission to make Boise one of the healthiest communities with PIVOT Lifestyle + Fitness by KA.

    Tommy Ahlquist

    Ball Ventures Ahlquist (BVA) CEO Tommy Ahlquist is a visionary who gets things done. Tommy practiced as a full-time ER doctor for 18 years. In 2005, he started Ahlquist Development, a commercial development company. Under Tommy’s leadership, Ahlquist Development developed and owned over two million square feet of office and retail space. In 2018, Tommy partnered with Ball Ventures, one of the nation’s most successful development and investment companies, to found BVA (Ball Ventures Ahlquist). BVA is a commercial development and strategic capital investment company that delivers excellence and value to tenants, investors and partners.

    Lance Davisson

    Owner / Principal Consultant, The Keystone Concept

    Lance Davisson is Owner and Principal Consultant of The Keystone Concept, founded in 2011. Lance previously worked in the public sector in several western states as a land manager, forester, commercial leasing professional and wildland firefighter. In addition to being a lifetime athlete, entrepreneur, outdoor enthusiast and resource professional, Lance has been “married to medicine” for almost 20 years. Supporting his wife through her medical training, he developed a curiosity of how we can build a healthy environment through an improved healthcare system - delivered through the lends of community development, business, fitness and health.
