    Embodied Carbon 101: What is it? Why is it important? What can you do about it?

    We’ll chat about a holistic overview of what Embodied Carbon entails, how we can understand it through whole building life cycle assessment and walk through GGLO’s carbon approach. From there we’ll build an understanding of why Embodied Carbon is an important issue to be tacking in our industry and provide a toolkit to have a positive impact.

    Lyndsay Watkins

    Architectural Designer, GGLO

    Lyndsay is an Architectural Designer and Climate Specialist at GGLO. She focuses on research, analysis, and implementation of regenerative design solutions in regards to operational energy, embodied carbon, and material health. Lyndsay works with teams to build hyper localized Climate Positive solutions for each unique site- running whole building life cycle assessments, early design energy modeling, and building resources to help inform passive design and material selection. In her free time she’s either volunteering on the board of ACE Idaho, paddle boarding with her dog Winnie, or spending time outdoors.
